002 - [open commentlog] Educate the giant robot or watch him go flying?
[There had been a few distractions, but it was time to find out how restricted the airspace was, if it was. So here is Jetfire, standing on the edge of the Green closest towards the Barracks and staring at the sky, helm tilted back, arms crossed. Before he goes, though...]
//Starscream, want to come flying? I talked with someone earlier who indicated the sky isn't what it seems.//
[The comm sent and over with, Jetfire concentrates back on the sky again. It looks normal. It ought to be normal. But apparently it isn't.
Go stare at the jet, before or after he comes down?]
((ooc: Backdated to recently after his arrival, since I am slow...))

[This was... simply contrary to normal, proper natural laws. Why, Keep, why, forcing him to accept these strange things?]
Most have to do that among my species as well, even if we all can handle brief periods of exposure in space. [He nods, then looks him over again.]
I see. Would you be willing to demonstrate?
... Ah, on something that wouldn't incur punishment, of course. [Jetfire frowns, well-remembering Bryn's recount of that.]

The Grand Highblood's is a regal shade of violet. And my moirail's is green. It's okay but not eh...great. Of course I can demonstrate my power- but my moirail has forbidden-... I mean to say I choose not to destroy property of the keep. Hmm...
[He glances around, looking for something heavy to break and not get in trouble over.]

Moirail? And... hm... I suppose no one should mind if we find an already fallen tree or branch of suitable size, or a large rock..?
[Jetfire doesn't really know yet what is acceptable to be breaking or tearing up or not, so he'll err on the side of caution.]

[Equius scampers off a bit to look for a rather large branch.]
Yes, Moirail. She is the other half of me, you could say. Here! Behold.
[He stops at a large rotting log, rubbing his hands together as he bends to try to lift it. It gets a few inches off the ground, rather good for a small thing like him, before it thuds back onto the ground. Curse this strength sap.]
Hold on- Wait- Watch.
[He shuffles off to one end of it, lifting it up a bit higher before letting it thud back onto the ground.]
Augh. Okay, I am much stronger than this. I assure you, I am merely adjusting to the changes here. I will gain my strength, again.

[Jetfire nods, and follows Equius, curiously waiting; his first assumptions - despite that yes, even that log is a rather impressive feat for someone who probably shouldn't be able to carry it - is that he's been exaggerating, but...]
My first suggestion would be a difference in gravity from the world you're from and this place, but I had someone tell me... changes were not unusual. In that heights [here Jetfire gestures to himself] as well as... what they called powers had been altered.
[A frown, and he crosses his arms.]
I can't confirm it, since my strength seems to have adjusted proportionally to my new size, courtsey of the Lord of this place. [Displeasure, Jetfire has it. Just altering someone against their will?]
no subject
[Equius frowns, folding his own arms as if imitating the still-giant robot.]
Perhaps. The gravity feels the same, though I've heard of this change in power too. Obviously it is because the lord of this keep fears us at our full strengths.

It wouldn't surprise me, no. It might not just be for fear over an... uprising, however, but to make sure we're as safe as we can be from eachother.
[Not everybody is, by a long shot, 'nice', after all.]
