[Hi, Keep. Anyone in the corridor(s) near room 3169 will be privy to a buck-naked, seven foot even white-haired woman walking down said corridor muttering about conversion and disappearance of mass before she abruptly turns around to walk back the way she came, for the room she had just left, while opening the journal.
She'd just realized humans didn't tend to walk around naked. So that wasn't something she should be doing, then, even if she'd been doing it in pursuit of something to wear. And how come the journal had changed size to fit her like this, too?]
... Considering I have yet to see any of the organics around here walk around without some sort of covering, I assume that's not something one does, for various reasons.
Protection and warmth, for two, presumably. Skin really isn't adequate protection at most temperatures... Besides for a narrow range as far as I can extrapolate from biological parameters. Anything else? And if it's not usual to walk around... naked perhaps someone could find or lend me something to wear, since I was on the way to pick something up...
Ah, one more thing. Anyone has an estimate of how long this is going to last, if something like it has happened before?
[Good experiments always have a cut-off point at which it expires/you cease for evaluation, after all.
Also, the lack of comm. is highly annoying; she'd intended to contact Starscream since before she left, but she kept forgetting it. So she'll just knock on his door to see if he'll open, otherwise she'll check on him later... And just hope he's had nothing strange happen to him in the meantime.]

[Jetfire trails off, studying Jael now that she can see her, and...]
Human... are you all right with this... change?
[Considering the bits and pieces she's learned.]
[video-->commentlog]
[Jael looks away from the camera, a hand coming up to touch one of her ears before she nods and smiles.][Her smile widens into a grin.]
/If I did have anything against them, I doubt I could have come to love one./
[As soon as she's done with her post, Jael gathers up the clothes she thinks will fit and heads out of her room towards Jetfire's. Hopefully they'll work.]
[commentlog]
Either way, Jael will find Jetfire's door slightly open, the no-longer-at-the-moment Cybertronian inspecting the body closely, doing such... slightly strange seeming things as repeatedly flexing joints and bending them, eyes closed and expression a study in concentration.
She's attempting to find out the capacity of the muscles and joints by merely feeling for it, but it's exceedingly hard what with the lack of proper scanners to pick these things up.]
Re: [commentlog]
She knocks on the door before pushing it open and heading inside. Jael closes the door quickly to hide Jetfire from anyone who might be walking by.]
[commentlog]
Jael. Hm. I have to say, it really isn't the same with you lacking those larger ears... Visual identity, I suppose.
[commentlog]
[Jael grins and holds out the clothes she brought for Jetfire. They were the biggest articles of clothing she had, but the pants will probably be too short and the shirt a little tight.
She hadn't expected Jetfire to be so tall.]
/Try these on. If they don't work, I can see if I can find something that will work./
[commentlog]
Why would that make it especially... weird? Ah, thank you.
[She takes the clothes and... well, yes, they won't fit very well, but it'll be something to help against the cold, which she's definitely noticing a lot more like this.
With a shrug, Jetfire still puts them on, managing without too much trouble to figure out how and where things go.]
[commentlog]
[Jael looks Jetfire over, satisfied that she at least has something to keep her covered.]
/Will those do or will you need something warmer?/
[commentlog]
[Jetfire shakes her head, brushing away the white hair and then rubs her chin thoughtfully.]
We cannot be said to bilogical sex at all, so any change into another - biological - species would be an imperfect transition, no matter how many, or few, variations of biological sex said species presented.
Perceptions are merely that, but it does make sense that you would find one sex or another as a more... probable result if you read me as a particular sex.
[Jetfire huffs and eyes the wall that her room shares with Starscream's.]
Your assumptions and finding it strange is to be expected due to cultural expectations and perceptions... Starscream, on the other hand, has no reason to find this strange.
[Another shake of her head as she looks away from the wall, as if she could stare at Starscream through the stone with all her incredulousness, and turns back to Jael.]
... I'm uncertain. If I'm going to venture outside, considering the weather, I assume so... Hm. How cold does it get in the barracks during night? While I would hope this has a reasonably short duration, it would be foolish to not prepare for at least a few days.
Re: [commentlog]
/That makes sense. I will get used it, or you'll change back before then./
[She quirks an eyebrow.]
/What did Starscream do?/
[Because obviously he did something to get that reaction.]
/It gets pretty cold at night. I'll find something that you'll be able to fit before you need to venture out for food./
[commentlog]
[That was probably the first hint of frustration and unease Jetfire had allowed herself since having a (quiet and brief) lapse of rational thought before she'd pulled herself together and went out in search of clothes. And then went back.]
While this is interesting, I do not approve of an occurrence, or experiment, which has no clear point at which it's ended.
[At Jael's question of Starscream, Jetfire shakes her head, briefly tugging on a lock of hair against her shoulder before brushing it back.]
He's being unreasonable. I'm... surprised he let this affect him as much as he did even if I can't say I'm... not comfortable with this either.
[Jetfire frowns.]
And he acted as if me having a female body was something strange. I can understand you assuming one sex or another, Jael, but Starscream ought to not be coloured that way. If he hadn't merely spent around a quarter vorn... ah, twenty years, on Earth close to humans, I'd have said he had stayed too long and let himself get too influenced.
[It's more of incomprehension and exasperation, but he had sort of counted on Starscream's... rather irrepressible personality to have something to bounce off of.]
Thank you. If we're lucky, it is merely for today, otherwise I assume I'm going to need something more to sleep on...
[Because she can tell, standing barefoot on the floor, that for someone organic, sleeping on this wouldn't be comfortable.]
[commentlog]
[Jael frowns slightly and reaches up to pat Jetfire's shoulder.]
/Maybe he's just a little off-balance because of the sudden change? For someone who's never been through this before, it's awfully jarring, even for the strongest person./
[She kind of doubts that's the reason, but she can never understand what's going through Starscream's mind anyway.]
/I'll see what I can do. I should have an extra blanket you can use until we all change back./
[commentlog]
[That is as far as she'll go to admit that while she's still interested, this is really rather... unsettling. Not what she'd want. Too soft, too much fluids, not precise enough...]
That is obviously part it, but there really is no reason for acting as if I should have been<(/i> one biological sex or another.
[Jetfire lifts one hand to brush it over the top of Jael's as she pats his shoulder, shaking her head.]
That would be appreciated... Hm. If Starscream doesn't come out, I assume I'm going to have to find something for him...
[As well as food. That, as of yet, is a rather daunting thought.]
[commentlog]
[Jael gives Jetfire a small smile.]
/You know if you need help with anything, anything at all, I am always available./
[commentlog]
[Jetfire huffs and crosses her arms; it's clear that either there had been no answer forthcoming, it had been unsatisfactorily, or Starscream had continued to just not make (expected) sense.]
Ah, yes... For you too, even if I probably could not help you as often as you might need, when we're back to proper forms.
[The frustration slides away for an open, bright smile, however brief.]
[commentlog]
[Jael's own smiles widens. She doesn't often see Jetfire smile and it's nice to see it.]
/I'm going to go ahead and get out of here and try to find you some better clothes. If you want I could grab something for Starscream as well?/
[commentlog]
[Jetfire shook her head, giving the wall another look before turning back to Jael with a small smile.]
Thank you for going through the trouble.
[commentlog]
/It's no trouble at all. I'll be back later with some things for you two, okay?/
[Jael opens the door and waves at Jetfire.]
