[Hi, Keep. Anyone in the corridor(s) near room 3169 will be privy to a buck-naked, seven foot even white-haired woman walking down said corridor muttering about conversion and disappearance of mass before she abruptly turns around to walk back the way she came, for the room she had just left, while opening the journal.
She'd just realized humans didn't tend to walk around naked. So that wasn't something she should be doing, then, even if she'd been doing it in pursuit of something to wear. And how come the journal had changed size to fit her like this, too?]
... Considering I have yet to see any of the organics around here walk around without some sort of covering, I assume that's not something one does, for various reasons.
Protection and warmth, for two, presumably. Skin really isn't adequate protection at most temperatures... Besides for a narrow range as far as I can extrapolate from biological parameters. Anything else? And if it's not usual to walk around... naked perhaps someone could find or lend me something to wear, since I was on the way to pick something up...
Ah, one more thing. Anyone has an estimate of how long this is going to last, if something like it has happened before?
[Good experiments always have a cut-off point at which it expires/you cease for evaluation, after all.
Also, the lack of comm. is highly annoying; she'd intended to contact Starscream since before she left, but she kept forgetting it. So she'll just knock on his door to see if he'll open, otherwise she'll check on him later... And just hope he's had nothing strange happen to him in the meantime.]

For the same reason you're human, I assume. I doubt there's any way to correctly translate a non-organic, non-biologically sexed species into just that, so a random element to which sex is chosen during a species... change doesn't seem all that unreasonable.
[Starscream will merely get that stare back as Jetfire starts... theorizing.]
Why does it matter, either way? Neither of us are what we're supposed to be.
[Comment log] youll have to deal with a non human icon. Because i have nothing appropriate
[This will go back and forth forever. ]
[Comment log] I can deal, yes.
Yes. I know. How and why does this have any bearing on anything at all. I am a female human, is there any reason I should have been something else?
[It's actually more of an honest question than the eye-rolling sigh that had been heard at the beginning. In fact, Jetfire might have preferred to be something else... Something that could fly, at least, if she had to be organic.]
[Comment log]
[And he was just going to go drag himself over to a corner ans hope this all goes away soon.]
[Comment log]
Starscream, I'm not following your reasoning. Are you going to stay in here for the duration of this?
[It was more a question so she'd know if he'd get things for himself, or if she'd have to attempt to get it for him.]
[Comment log]
[Sorry Jetfire he was aggravated and cold and confused.]
I'm not going out there like this.
[Comment log]
All right, if you want. [Honestly, Jetfire only thought it was about the cold; even if it technically wasn't cold in the barracks, being without clothes was doing nothing to keep heat.] I should be able to get you something to cover up with after Jael brings me clothes... it is rather cold without anything, isn't it?
[Jetfire eyed her bare arm with a frown.]
[Comment log]
[For the first time in a long while, Starscream sounded legitimately pitiful.]
[Comment log]
I know. The lack of insight into this situation... And the circumstances and the unknown length of it... I'm not sure I like this either.
[Besides this being the wrong species, and no scientific interest can really make up for the fact that this body is... lacking in so many ways.]
... but you're not going to let this bring you down as so many other things haven't. If this lasts a deca-cycle or more, then I will worry.
[And no, that wasn't a question. Come on, Starscream. Please? She can't really keep everything neat and controlled without a bit of help here.
And maybe it's the expression, or the tone of his voice, or the newness of the situation, but after a slight hesitation - this will not solve anything, after all - Jetfire slides her arms about him and pulls the temporarily-human Seeker into a hug.
This feels strange. Wrong. But the closeness is a somewhat familiar thing, and the heat trapping between them is nice.]
[Comment log]
... Stop that. I don't want to leave, that's all. I will stay here until it's over with, I don't see the problem with that.
[Comment log]
Yes, of course. I'll see what I can do so that you can stay in here, then.
[That said, she pulled back, giving a slight tug on his hair by catching a tiny tuft of it as she stood up. Just because she felt like it.]
[Comment log]
Yeah, yeah. Go.
[He paused briefly slightly unsure of himself.]
Jetfire ... thank you.
[He's not admitting to that when they are back to normal by the way.]
[Comment log]
Of course, Starscream. [She reached out a hand, without looking back, briefly brushing it over his closest shoulder.] I'll be back as soon as possible... If this lasts the night, the situation will be unpleasant, I think...
[The last was more muttered to herself as Jetfire wandered out of the room to go wait for Jael to come with some clothes, and see what else she should do about this situation.]
