003 - [Audio]
[Shortly after this, Jetfire has been attempting to distract himself, having gone to the library but that's not exactly working, and all he can come up with?]
A question, if you will; what would be the difference between science and magic?
[He has accepted the possibility of more-than-natural... or supernatural/divine events, if barely, but that acceptance still doesn't explain a general question of what 'magic' could be in relation to known and quantifiable science.]
... Also, Starscream. Do you... have a moment?
[He's not sure asking this - no matter how interested he is in the answers - will be sufficient distraction, so he'll just go to someone he knows is good at distraction (if only to have all attention on himself).]

I just didn't expect... I mean, I suppose it's understandable in a way; lacking other references and context, and with the greatest complexity perhaps being simple AI, assuming we are the same isn't unreasonable. Still.
[Just talking was actually helping him order his reaction, but that doesn't make him any less affected by it.]

Ignorance, especially unknowing such, isn't stupidity. [A pause.]
Thank you, though.

Usually, choosing the correct words will facilitate communication and lessen misunderstandings, even if I am used to your way of speaking. Further, ignorance can't, by any definition, be called 'stupidity'.
[He would say something about it not being necessary to insult anyone, but that would be a waste of time, and not very interesting, anyway. Starscream insulted everything and everyone. Was it terrible of him to sort-of miss this? Or rather, have realized he missed this, now that he had it again?]
Besides, I don't really see the challenge in insulting a species so radically different from ours, and, as far as I saw, far behind us technologically. Surely your wit could be used on others?
[... Wait. Did he just actually sort of invite Starscream to insult him? Even if he tended to do that anyway? Jetfire huffed slightly at himself.]
