001 - [Video]
[Jetfire apparently figured out the video-function of the journal very quickly, because that's what pops up; a view of someone white, obviously very large, and metal. As soon as he starts to speak, however, it's clear, for those of you who speak English, that he's not speaking that (or any other langauge mostly anyone here would recognize), so have a text translation.]
... This shouldn't even... ahh, right...
I'm finding the premise I'm supposed to accept rather improbable. The odds of even... ah, something divine having the time to construct a place of safety and then pluck someone... or even several, aren't even astronomical. I'd be generous if I said they were astronomical.
[Jetfire only has a faint frown on his faceplates, but his optics are narrowed and his voice heavy with disbelief. Amusingly enough, despite the science-oriented talk, the heavy blanket of disbelief lightens some on the word 'divine', even if there's a slight sigh accompanying it instead.]
Especially since even the assumption of a 'frozen-moment' would require unfreezing at any change of location, and thus even a pre-knowledge of the so-supposed "end" wouldn't be sufficient. Further, even with such a time window, that alloted time would soon run out.
[Does Jetfire enjoy science so much he wouldn't mind potentially talking to himself about it? Yes. He might also be slightly upset. Maybe.]
And since different universes would, by virtue of natural variation, obey slightly different rules, have slightly different outcomes... A single destructive event encompassing a possible multiverse... or even omniverse and completely wiping it all out is highly unlikely simply by virtue of these internal variations-- [The large, white robot seems to have run out of steam (so to speak) finally, as he drags a hand down his face.]
No matter what is actually going on... How and why am I over two-thirds shorter than I ought to be? [That should just not be possible.]
Also... [There's a deep, slow vent.]
If anyone else is here and has seen... or, ah, heard Starscream... Please inform me.
[There were many others he'd like to ask for, but, presently, this seemed to be the most... important. At least personally and for the general safety of any possible others.]

Jetfire?!
[Pause.]
I should have known you would be a part of this!
... Be part of what, Starscream? I have no idea what's going on, as you well would know if you'd listened. But, tell me. What do you think is going on?
[Okay, so asking if Starscream had listened to him would just bring the reply of "I never do" (even when he did), but, well. Not much to do about it now.]
I should have known you would side with them all against me again.
How did you do it? Was it something that medic did?
Would I really share this supposed 'trap' with you if this was something we made up to trap you? When it was Sunstorm we wanted to contain?
[Another pause as he unobtrusively makes a non-return location ping on a particular, and old, frequency, and tilts his helm at the result.]
You were present, and aware for all that Ratchet did. When was he supposed to have done anything? Considering all that was done was remove a sample to use in the inhibitor.
[Jetfire suddenly gets up, and then the recording ends... only seconds later, Starscream has a knock on his door. Jetfire's uncertain what he'll see. One of the individuals he'd talked to earlier had mentioned larger beings being... in effect... shrunk. Logically this would indicate Starscream too.
Nonetheless, it's exceedingly strange being this... short. Will Starscream still be shorter than him or will they suddenly be the same size?]
[commentlog]
But yes. He slides over to the door and opens it with one hand while aiming his arm cannon. And while lowering his arm when he sees who it is doesn't cross his mind, he certainly looks surprised.]
... Jetfire, you shrunk. I am definitely hallucinating.

[Video] I don't even know if this makes sense.
Different rules, different outcomes would all influence each universe of timestream in such a manner that, by virtue of definition, render the similarities of each said universe or world or whathaveyou obsolete, because at that point in time they have each become their own individual creation.
Highly unlikely is putting it mildly, my dear, giant metal robotic organism.
[You fascinating creation of science...oh...please let him take you apart...please...]
[Video] Let's make incomprehensible fake!scence together~
Have a pause though, because it was a whole eternity since someone responded in kind like this.]
Precisely. Even in the event of a localized destructive event or collapse, and a potential chain-effect radiating outwards, it would take time, and none of the individual universes would be affected in the same way as the original event affected the universe-of-origin.
[Jetfire pauses, and then shakes his helm.]
Even allowing for localized clumping of certain universes or timestreams into separate multiverses - as such a theory seems to be obvious at this point - one event whih could annihilate a singular multiverse going through a stable axis in that multiverse could not affect others.
[Hey now. There'll be no taking apart here! Jetfire likes himself whole, thank you very much.]
[Video] OH YOU KNOW HOW TO TALK TO ME BB
Â
Yes, yes, precisely! Even if it were to be something so drastic as, say… a supernova, or the formation of a black hole – the core collapsing, extreme gravitational pull-- [He’s seen this first hand.] – that generally would only affect one system itself at a time.
Â
It would have to be…simultaneous supernovas or some such similar dramatic event throughout the entire multiverse -- and! Throughout their respective solar systems as well – though I’m having trouble with the calculations and figuring out how, exactly, they would span several dimensions so precisely without the use of previously mentioned black holes, and there would need to be multiple, I’m certain – there are still too many variables for this to be plausible or probable.
Â
[He refrains from saying possible. Because something brought them here, and something happened.]
Â
Clumping – you mean…combining several universes into one, and then obliteration? [INTERESTING THEORY he likes it. He taps his chin.]
Â
That would certainly have made the cataclysm easier but the question still remains how, or why.
Â
[Oh come on just a little looksy he won’t hurt you, promise.]
[Video] SWEETER WORDS WERE NEVER SAID~
Precisely; in fact, an occurence like that would be the least that would be needed, I think. I suppose it's possible to posit sudden gravitational pull of any given universe upon itself, causing its destruction, but what could cause such a thing to occur suddenly... and, as you say, the infinite variables ought to restrict any such event to the universe of origin.
[Jetfire, while certainly leaning forward, isn't as... animated, as Megamind in his discussion, but he's certainly intent.]
... Ahh, that's an interesting possibility, definitely. In fact... [Jetfire almost gets distracted, here, but manages to pull back from that new thread, if barely.]
But no, I was thinking of any given number of universes that share a particular, or several, traits, allowing for one stable feature shared between them.
Plausibly, then, one event could perhaps wipe out this given 'multiverse', but not the greater 'omniverse', as other localized clumps of universes do not share the feature of this destroyed multiverse. But, indeed, that doesn't answer how as it should still be... too improbable to be viable.
[If there'd been a proper medic around, perhaps then (in the name of science), but as it stands? Nope, no going!]

It must be quite taxing to hear the same thing claimed more than once, however.
[Zandali + Translated Text]
Taxing is a word for it. I prefer to call it a massive pain in my ass.
[Cybertronix + Translated Text]
Considering that, how much truth do you lend to what is claimed?
[There's a brief pause before Jetfire's optics flicker slightly and he tilts his head in what might be an apologetic motion.]
Ah, apologies... I forget myself. I'm Jetfire.

[And that big symbol you're wearing. It's been way too long since he saw someone else wearing that. Especially someone not from his world.]
Who... are you?
[Video] timey-wimey stuff?
[Oh, that thing? Maybe one day it will make the ones from his own faction trust him more!
When he isn't allowing Starscream to shoot at Bumblebee]... My designation is Jetfire. You... [A pause. Sure, he's already accepted - in passing - that, with more than one possible universe, you'd have multiples of any given universe... localized multiverses if you will. The differences in design, though, are rather striking.]
Are cybertronian, yes?
[Video] timey what now
Since this Ironhide hasn't been through Dark of the Moon]Ironhide. I... have never heard your name before.
[He was taken to the Elegante before his own Jetfire actually showed up.]
[He nods.]
Autobot. Weapons master with Optimus Prime.
[Video] timey wimey wibbly wobbly-- /has never seen Doctor Who
Oh, so that's how it is, huh? Conditionals!]Interesting. [Jetfire pauses, frowning thoughtfully before he continues. The fact that this Ironhide has never heard of him... or a version of him, whichever it might be, isn't particularly disturbing.] The Ironhide I know, while certainly one of Optimus Prime's crew... was red.
At least the idea of alternate realities is something that has theories supporting it... [Jetfire's voice has now dropped to a murmur as he considers it, before looking up again, shaking his helm. Quite distracting, really.]

[Video] Okay now for a real tag...
...who...is rather over her head. Bryn's smart but this is definitely out of her league.]
Ah, I'm afraid I haven't heard of anyone named Starscream but...you're not the first robot that's come here and spoken of a size change. I think that some who arrive here are...well, altered. So they can fit inside.
[It's just a theory.]
[Video] c: yay real tags~
And even if she didn't understand anything of that, she is addressing some other things that are pretty important.]
Thank you. I hope he's, ah... present, anyway. [Jetfire pauses, and briefly looks away before he looks back, a small smile on his lips.] Believe me, you'll, mmmm... probably hear him before you see him. His voice is pretty... loud.
[Is Jetfire teasing Starscream when he's not present? Indeed he is. He does sober up after that, however, and frowns.]
Fit inside...? Oh. I assume the buildings are all made for beings of a shorter stature than your regular Cybertronian, then?
[While that makes - in a way - sense, it doesn't answer how it's done.]
[Video] As opposed to hypothetical tags X3
[Bryn smiles at Jetfire, a small thing that hints that she's caught he's teasing, though her tone seems quite solemn.]
But yes, I believe the Keep was made for humans, mainly. Most of us here are human in appearance, mainly, though not everyone of course.
[She pauses a beat.]
I'm Bryn, by the way. I don't believe we've met...
[It's a strange thing to say to someone who's just arrived, but then again, the last Cybertronian who arrived claimed to have known her from a boat. Bryn couldn't assume anything...]
[Video] Yes, precisely. c:
[She gets a very small smile in return, before he considers what she says next.]
Humans, hm? I would assume they mostly are natives of Earth, even across different universes? [This is more so he knows that's the humans thought about here. Not that he actually had time to see any except in passing after being defrosted.]
No, I don't believe we have. I haven't actually talked to any humans before this, even if I've spent quite a lot of time on Earth. Indisposed as it were. [Jetfire murmurs and shrugs, here. Thinking on what happened isn't the most pleasant, and he's mroe than once considered either erasing the direct experience, or encrypting it, but has done nothing as of yet.]
My designation's Jetfire.

So he wouldn't need the same amount of time in his universe as in yours...though I can't explain how he moved us out of our universes or made this place.
You're shorter because Deior fucked you up when you got here, if you have any powers or weapons they're fucked too.
Are you related to *...what was that guy's name?* Ironhide or just another sort of robot?
audio
[Jetfire pauses. It takes a bit (oh, not more than a few seconds, but still) to figure out the phrase 'fucked up', but since it's translated, it helps.]
Such things are... altered, upon arrival? [Not that he's sure, exactly - though Sunstorm comes to mind - what is meant by 'powers'.]
If he's Cybertronian, which he seems to be, then yes. Merely from a variant universe.
Re: audio
If they don't match up in time, however, they may not have been destroyed at the same time...it may simply seem that way to us here, given how we were all pulled here from different universes and timelines. I'm not sure how much of a factor time really is between universes.
Yeah, he's strong enough to do that to us, I'm not sure how. We can only communicate with him through the journals and if he fucking feels like it.
*Someone is not happy with that B|*
I see, interesting.
audio
Hmm... so what's your experience of these... alterations? [It almost makes Jetfire curious enough to take out his gun, but he is, possible alteration or no, not about to fire a very large photon missle gun inside a building.]
It is, since it, besides the probably non-related universes present with all of us, proves the existence of alternate realities... or variant universes, as one perhaps ought to label them.
[And this. is. exciting! Though Jetfire merely sounds more inently pleased at this, not outright giddy or anything.]
